Congrats on your first year! I have a few months to go for that accomplishment. Yo can take the "rookie" label off now.
Some great truths. The people on Trucking Truth push those concepts all the time. But experience is the best teacher. Keep rolling. You have already charted some places to visit & re-visit!
Well it has been one year since I started this adventure, and it didn't disappoint. 2 coasts, 2 boarders, 1 moose, several memories and new friends.
I've found new vacation destinations and places I want to check out and found some good eateries.
I can't really think of anything that suprised me out here, I did my research well
Some things that I have learned.
1. Timing in everything( you can either whisk across the GW or painfully crawl)
2. Be nice to everyone, it costs you nothing.
3. Take care of yourself. You won't roll if you can't get out of your bunk.
4. Plan. Your breaks, your route, your stops, you maneuvers. Don't move the truck till you know where you want to go
5. Be careful. It's real easy to break things out here
As far as money I've essentially doubled my salary from what I was previously doing. I'll post the numbers in dec. when I have a full year for 2015.
Congratulations! A great accomplishment.
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
That's awesome to hear! Congrats and appreciate the tips.
