any advice? i'm starting at total transportation next week. just got my cdl recently.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Congrats Missi. What I find sad is our ladies forum seems quite dead so I typically use the general one. But welcome! Maybe we can change that :-)

It is quite dead I have left se real questions And no replies it's sad I just recently also received my cdl. I'm starting for us express On Oct 12th AND scared to death

Honestly, I generally go directly to the General Forums (as in, that's where my shortcut takes me) because there didn't seem to be much happening in here. Guess I better change that!
