Academically, I feel as though I'm picking up a lot with all the reading material that is available here (but still trying to learn the industry vernacular) but the actual doing is what has me nervous. I've seen some posts about people not passing their backing and gear shifting. So I'm trying to remain positive and just tell myself that failure is not an option. (Because really, it isn't.)
Any opportunity you have to practice, take full advantage of it. If you think you are struggling, and they haven't already offered it, ask for additional help. Once you gain a little confidence (and you will) your nerves will probably.
