Because sadly some people are selfish, immature, and only think of themselves and not about how their actions affect others around them, Please, I implore everyone to never ever be one of those people.

If you ask about the implied sexism (bretheren are guys), "sisteren" is way more obsolete.
If you ask about the respect among drivers, that is true, as I noted in another post, there are many truckers (super and non-super) that think they are "all that", as Sue has pointed out.
Recently I was in the left lane passing a slower truck. (that takes two minutes in speed govererned trucks.) Behind me in the left lane, another semi started flashing his high beams. I guess he didn't want to waste his precious time waiting for me. Well, I didn't want to waste my precious time backing out and starting over after Mr. Speedee zoomed past. He had to wait his turn, like everyone else!
I agree with Errol. Plenty of those out there. If someone is passing me and traffic builds up behind them ill slow down enough to let them over. There are also alot of respectful and polite drivers as this forum shows.

I'm one of the cranky people in a four-wheeler who will start slowing down when people decide that it's their job to convince me to move faster either by flashing their high beams or riding my tail. I'm guessing that's not exactly recommended in an truck?

GREAT ANSWER!
I do that too. I wish others would. With goverend speeds, I run into the problem that one driver might be 1 MPH faster than the other. That's what takes two minutes to get around, blocking both lanes. If I'm the slow one, I also slide my cruise control down, and allow the other driver to pass. It sure makes the world go round more smoothly!

Good grief, I am so happy to hear that! A professional, with common sense. Awesome!
What Nick mentioned is one of my favorite "pet-peeves" when it comes to bad behavior. The more experienced drivers know this, but the newer drivers, depending on who taught them, possibly not. To be specific, when entering an Interstate or any limited access road where there is a ramp, if a fellow trucker had the courtesy (and the space) to move over allowing you to enter, take your "foot" out of it and let them back into the right lane once they have cleared your bumper. Flip your lights to let them know they are clear to move back over. Then if you need to pass them, do it after they are safely back in the slow lane. So simple and in the grand scheme how much time does it really cost? Not much.
Nothing aggravates me more than a "super-trucker" jumping-me on my curbside (passenger side) after letting them enter an Interstate!!!!! Really bad and disrespectful behavior.

Im so glad to hear this. I seriously thought i was the only driver on the road that did this. I personally kick my cruise off and slow down a few mph until they get far enough ahead then i put my cruise back on.
