Hey everyone. Another question: I'm going through the online CDL study guide, and was wondering if I can skip the "Transporting Passengers" section. Will they ask me questions about that during the test? Will I need it for truck driving school?
That section is the endorsement if you want to drive a passenger vehicle. Like the Greyhound bus for example. It will not show up on any tests unless you take the passenger endorsement test at the dmv.
But to be honest that passenger endorsement test is kindergarten easy if you do the High Road section for it. We recommend you get all the endorsements because when you go solo you won't ever have time to study and get them. Better to get them now while you have the time than later.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
Yeah, we always recommend that people get all of the endorsements. The Hazmat endorsement has to be renewed every two years, but the rest are a one-time written test that takes like 10 minutes and is super easy like Daniel said. You don't want to limit your career options for the rest of your life because you wanted to avoid a 10 minute written test one time. And you certainly don't want to assume you know every possible opportunity that will come (or will not come) the rest of your life.
So get all of your endorsements.
But with our High Road Online CDL Training Program you can do the pages in any order, you can skip pages, and you can redo pages if you like. There is no set way you have to do it. The system is very flexible.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
