I, too was having a perfect day, then I started my clock... LO

Ran hard all day yesterday, loaded and delivered a bunch if transformers to a substation in Colorado. Then put the KW's nose in the breeze and got to Salinas before running short on time. Found a good spot to park in the rest area and slept like a baby. Got up early and walked a bit and did my Bible study. So far, so good...

Then I did my pretrip and called the shipper down by Tulsa. It seems yhe consignee didn't schedule our pickups and now I have to wait till 6:00 tomorrow to load. Then I gotta have the pipe in North Dakota Monday morning. Grrr!!!

Oh, well. It could be worse. I could be in Texas...

Consignee:

The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Haha! Oh man that's terrible. I once had a delivery that wasn't scheduled, it was on my Qualcomm just not at the recievers computer so I was a work in.

But man, at least I'm at a nice hotel with a shower, frig, LG TV with every channel, shower, ac and right now I'm enjoying a hearty breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I think that beats sitting at a rest area :0

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.
