Ya realy want to get All those Federal agencies involved in your personal business ?
A Dot physical dosn't cost that much at those chain medical centers, yes if you have medical concerns, then you need to address them. Do a dry run where you pay cash (insurance will put you in the system) no DOT form to find out if you have any problems. Then if you pass, transfer the info to a DOT form, or else get in shape to pass.
Last year I needed my Race Car physical updated (which also requires an EKG), I went to a different Med center than the one I do my DOT at. I paid cash, when I was filling out the Information form, it asked for my SSN# ,,, I left it blank and asked the Receptionist why they needed my # , as I was paying Cash and I prefered to protect my ID, she thought about it, then said to leave it blank.....
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

If you were a military Veteran using your VA medical benefits, your "argument" makes no sense. The "federal agencies" are part of your "personal business" when it comes to the CDL world. According to the regulations:
"Deliberate omission or falsification of information may invalidate the examination and any certificate issued based on it. A civil penalty may also be levied against the driver under 49 U.S.C. 521(b)(2)(b), either for making a false statement of for concealing a disqualifying condition. 21 CFR 1308.11 (391.42(b)(12))".
A positive aspect about using the VA for medical care, is that no matter what state a driver is in and what VA s/he goes to for care, physicals, etc. His/Her records are always available. And heck, why pay for something when it is an earned benefit of protecting our freedoms and others?
