That's awesome. I'm excited for you. Do you find car hauling fun? I've done some personal car hauling, but never on a trucker's scale. Does it pay well?
Hey that's awesome! Glad to hear it!

I love it, its fun so far, you bust your but for an hour or so then get in the truck and drive, and their isn't a tight time frame to stick too. But that could also be that 1 its all new to me. lol the truth is you know when your not going to like something. And i like this I'm sure ill have days that it will suck and the weather is poop. but then again I've been thru worse. The pay isn't bad I'm working with an OO that it contracted with Fleet car services, so we get all the GM cars going to the dealers and car rentals. So i get 30% of each load. figure if i stay local i can do up to 4 or 5 loads and thats about 100$ per load in a day give and take a few $. this is the busy season for us I'm told with the rental one of them is expecting up 7000 car by yr end , I'm told will see. The best part is i work when i want. meaning if i want to start at 6AM or 12 noon or just pull one load or as many as i can in my 12hrs.

Yes get cut loose this week, Car hauling. My trainer said he has never seen anyone pick up the basics of driving and loading cars, strapping them and all the paper work that goes with in such a short time, 3 weeks. I guess my attention to detail and discipline from being 22yrs in the military paid off. Im really enjoying this type of work. The best part is i work my own schedule.
Not bad from Aircraft mechanic to car hauler.
