I think for the most part they'll want to know what you're physically capable of doing now more so than what's happened to you in the past. There may be some companies that pass on you but if it's as good as ever I'm certain there are plenty that would be happy to have you. They'll give you their physical tests and if you pass you're good to go.

Now I'm soon to be out of cdl school and plan on driving flatbed trucks but I am told often that they are reluctant to hire people who had suffered previous injuries.
I suffered a shoulder injury, got hit by a truck (oh the irony), that didn't require surgery but I got it anyway to restore it as close to its original condition as possible. Not only have I been to 6 months of physical therapy for it but I also participated in combat sports for two years to rebuild it beyond previous strength. I'm more than sure I can pass any physical test that they give me. On top of that, did I mention the injury is more than five years old?
Will this deter companies from hiring me?
