Anyone here have any experience or know anything about driving for McLane? Generally looking for how they are to work for, I'm aware of the driver unload side of it. Thanks

Put McLane in the search box above. You'll get some answers.

When I ran a C-store supplied by McLane id really impressed by the driver's attitude. Yes, they do all that unloading. With a smile!

They are a huge grocery supply chain company, owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. I see them frequently at the Walmart's I deliver to. The guys I know run team, and most everything is fingerprint freight, at times loose loaded. When they unload it could be a dock, street or curbside. They have contracts with just about every food retailer you can imagine; fast food, restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, and sports stadiums. I can't say I have heard anything bad, but be prepared to work your butt off and maneuver your truck in very close quarters all hours of the night and day.

If I happen to see one of their drivers in the next few days, I will ask them.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Hey, I know this is kinda a old thread...3 months but I'm researching Mclane Trucking Company and I have a question about what G-town said....

What is Fingerprint Freight?

And what does "loose loaded" mean?

As a guess...fingertip freight means your grabbing a lot of boxes and putting them on the cart , then rolling the cart into the customers. Loose loaded means it's loaded by hand and not palletized. My guess.

Correct on both counts! Fingerprint freight is the opposite of no touch. Sorry for using "lingo".
