I thought so but mine expired only after 6 months because I scored low on the driving test. Roadmaster only let us drive 1 hour a day for 12 days before we took the driving test.

If you have an official CDL issued by the state, you should be good to go. All the state tests (written and skills) are pass/not pass. The only time restriction you would have is on your medical card - some of those may be for a shorter time b/c of a medical condition.
Have you contacted Werner to see if you could get back with them?

He got his CDL already, not his permit. Company wouldn't hire him with permit unless they were gonna get him his CDL. He finished training so one way or the other he had it.

I know what he said and I have also never heard of a CDL-A 'expiring' after six months.

If he is in Illinois. Then it might expire after 6 months and not because he scored low on the test. I got my Cdl on 10/1 and it will expire in 9/16, because the state of Illinois goes be the expiration date of my original driver's license. But I don't have to retest, except for the hazmat endorsement

Hey my names forest. I got my cdl back in March through roadmaster. Worked for Werner until my training was done then quit my job because had family emergency.
I'm living back at home and there's a lot of local jobs. I need to get my cdl renewed and I feel like I lost a lot of what I learned and I'm sure I won't pass a written test now.
Where can I find legit study guide that will actually help me pass? I mostly have trouble remembering parts with numbers like Axle weights, distance to place warning triangles, penalties, etc.
Thanks.
