I'd probably take YRC over any truckload gig, but being on call in the beginning will be tough - it can turn into shift work.
I know I questioned her about the on call status but she assured me it may be listed on call but there is always runs available.
When I hear on call I think you may get a run this day but may not get another after for days or even week before the next one.

Thanks all for the input. Maverick called me today but still trying to decide. Back and forth I go on decision. Maverick is now considering me for a dedicated run that gets me home weekly and I get to take their truck home so no commuting. Never thought it would be this tough to decide.
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
