Tonyas name is on here but this is her husband Sam. I plan on going with Melton around the first of the year. Is it bad I don't have a back up company to go to if they dont work out? All the research we have done points me towards Melton so should i have a number two in case they do not hire me?
I have 5 companies that I would love to work for.
Knight, Swift, Roehl, Celadon, Super Service.
This 5 fit my needs, and wants,cfor many similar, and different reasons. So in a sense, I have 4 backup plans, should my final top choice fal through. Melton had a chance to make that list, and still might, should the flatbed bug bite my arse a bit harder.
I have a friend that was determined to work for a smaller company, (James Gath) and didn't have a 2nd choice. He finished school and got the job. I would not worry too much about not being hired by Melton. The industry is short a ton of drivers, so in some ways, we, as new drivers have our pick.
I only have two but have decided on one.
When I started prime was my only choice that I truly wanted. Maverick seemed like a decent back up plan, but my sight was set on prime and thats where I ended up. I think you should be fine, you just have to get on with them and prove yourself and you'll be good to go

I'll join in...I had prehires from 5 companies and interested in 10...lol, but I chose Schneider and they treated me well, even my friend! If your work hard and want it, you will get it!
