I'm exploring Driving Career, but I had 2 DUI'S 1981 and 1885 no tickets or accidents since 1985, how much will this hurt my chances at becoming a Truck driver? Thanks for any advice

1885 ?!? wow, I'd be more worried about passing the physical rofl-3.gif

Seriously though, from what I've learned, (i'm a newbie also) being that they are over 10 years old, it won't be a problem. I have one from 1985, and everybody I've called said no problem. HOWEVER, since you have 2 of them, I personally don't know, You will have to wait until a moderator comes on, usually later this in the day, early evening. From what I've read though, some of the tougher ones may not hire you, where many others will be ok with it.

So the short answer, from me, is don't sweat it. But again, wait for a moderators confirmation.

You should not have to worry about the time since the last one. The only thing that might hurt you is the amount of DUIs that you have. Some say only 1 in a life time.

Best thing to do is first look at websites of companies and search for their Driver Requirements. Secondly call the companies if you still have questions. And when it comes time to apply , apply at as many companies as possible cause there will be a few that do say no.

I don't think you have much to worry about though but if you think there might even be a small chance it will effect you then I would look at company sponsored schools. If they accept you and you complete the school you will have a job through them afterwards. Does not matter who. Just drive for them for a year and keep your nose clean including speeding tickets then after that year you should be able to go to whatever company you want to.
