I have a 12" window squeegee laying on the dashboard. A swipe sideways and it's clear again. (I have long arms.)

I think he's talking about the outside of the window... unless your arms are stupid long I don't think you are reaching out the window and squeegeeing the rain off the outside of the window doing 65 haha
@OP You could buy rainx at walmart or any other auto store and apply that... it'll repel the rain off the windows. You have to put it on right though or it won't work so follow the instructions carefully.
How do you keep the side mirrors clean in the rain? When I drive in the rain, the water just beads up on the windows, interfering with the visibility of my mirrors. It's particularly bad at night. The wind doesn't get to it for some reason, and I can't just roll the window down doing 65 in a rainstorm...
Try an application of a product called RainX. It will help, not perfect, but better.
I second the Rain-X idea. That will help quite a bit.
It's funny because truckers always have so many bugs on the windshield or salt from the roads or water beaded up on the windows.....and of course there's PrePass and EZ-Pass and dash cams and who knows what else in front of you. After a while your eyes learn to ignore most of that stuff. If I'm going to ride somewhere with my ma I'll do the driving. It makes her nuts if there's a bug or a few spots of dirt on the windshield. For me, as long as I can tell what's in front of me I'm good. I rarely even notice any bugs or dirt or anything else.
Looking through obstruction is an art form. We have one driver that is just like your mom. Me, if I can see the shadows I am good to go. Not really that bad. Best bug cleaner in the world is a good rain.
I swear by Rain-X ... it really works, it's sold in a yellow plastic bottle for like $5, you don't need a lot of it but it is a pain to put on though, so just do little sections at a time, you really need to work it in. The difference will be striking, the rain literally just rolls away. Pretty neat!

Good to know. Thank you!!

My arms are NOT stupid!! :)
I also squeegee the left side mirror when I'm backing and its covered in fog/dew/rain drops.
I've heard that scuba divers will spit on the inside of their face mask and rub that around, but a side mirror would need a lot of saliva!
Thanks for the replies, I thought about Rain-x but wasn't sure if it would work on the side windows. I'll give them a coat next time I'm in dry weather.
I guess I was hoping for some easy miracle fix, like a side-window-wiper kit you can install in 2 minutes, automatically syncs to your regular wipers via Bluetooth or something, and is available at a store near you for $1.99
