Sunshine you've been a ton of fun to have around here and quite inspirational to boot! We're more than happy to throw a hug you're way when you need one. You've brightened our day many times and demonstrated just how much someone can accomplish when they put their heart and soul into everything they do and stick with it until they succeed.
Being a great person isn't about what you can do. It's about what you do for others.
Being an accomplished person doesn't mean you've used your natural gifts to walk the easy path through life. It means you've chosen the tougher path because overcoming challenges gives a feelings of pride and confidence that you can't imagine living without.
It took no time at all for you to demonstrate you're more than capable of being a great, accomplished person. We already know you're tough as nails and you don't have an ounce of quit in you but you also do it all with a smile and a great attitude. We love all of that about you. In fact it makes us examine ourselves and ask if we're really setting high enough standards to live by.
Don't let anyone or anything sour your attitude. Keep smiling and keep being you!
What they said :)
Hey Sunshine, keep on truckin'! And have a hug!
I know that road to Cripple Creek. I've never driven it in a truck, though. Watch out for the casino buses and the four wheelers who've been drinking or smoking. And take it real easy, the curves are tight.
And if you're going to the big gold mine, please try to get a picture of one of those gigantic dump trucks they use up there. Even Pat couldn't haul one of those - they could put his truck and mine in the hopper! I've always wanted to drive one of those....

Keep your chin up, you are doing fine. You can not please all of the people all of the time, as the old saying goes. There are some people that you cannot please at any time.
On another note, you are going to get to see something that most people don't even get to see on TV. You are going to see some cool places and things pulling a skateboard. What an adventure we have every day.
Heck just Friday I loaded my first load of crane fall off pieces. counter weights, boom sections and other misc small pieces that have to come off the crane in order for it to be moved.
As for that big dump truck, I could too haul that truck. I would just have to do it the Johnny Cash way....... One piece at a time!
I found a picture of one. I also checked their job listings. None of these jobs are open right now unfortunately.

That's exactly right! Wish I were heading up to Cripple Creek! I've never gotten to see the mine, either. I'm a little jealous.

Lol I think that is exactly how they get them there. Only they're not smuggling any of those parts out in their jackets!
World's largest party dump truck...

You might be thinking of this saying which has a similar thought: "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” -Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln did say this, but there is debate on where this saying originated.
Sunshine, let me give you a BIGGGGG hug! :)
Also, I'm copying and pasting your post in Facebook. Why? Because I want everyone on my friends list to read your words, and hopefully take something out of it that is positive and will make them look at truckers with more respect. :)

I always seem to look at it as they are more than likely miserable people who don't appreciate the little rays of sunshine that shine on them every day. Let them be miserable and know that you tried.
Thanks from one driver to another. I still do appreciate an all clear and flash a thank you EVERY time.
