Does anyone know if jordan carriers do a **** test or hair follicles test

This document mentions hair, urine and blood so it's a possibility they could perform any/all of those, I suppose. As someone else said on one of the other threads you started if you're that worried you need to wait it out for 3+ months until you know you're clean for any test they may give.

Look man I'm going to go ahead and be the mean one hear if your worried about passing a drug test than wait your happy ass before you go take that test and end up finding out its a hair follicle test and if or when you do fail it you will have just ****ed away your cdl. Another thought here but if you do any kind of drugs you may want to think of a different career because out here if your in an accident and it's not even your fault guess what you get a random drug test and if you end up popping hot your off to prison. So if you know you have done something you shouldn't have in the last year than i would wait for the 1 year mark before doing it because a lot of places can track back up to a year even farther if you used it frequently so if you know you can't pass than don't risk it and if you are still using something than don't get in a semi truck.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

AMEN BROTHER!

It amazes me the number of people that ask this question.

Yeah, right? Needed to be said Justin, thanks!

Other than "what is the best company to start with?", it's probably the most asked question.

You guys aren't thinking this through very well. You're doing the ol' bit from South Park "Drugs r bad, mkay???"

Yeah, people get that. But there's a lot of reasons to ask what type of drug tests companies give and specifics about the drug tests:

1) You had a terrible toothache so you took two of your wife's leftover prescription pain pills until you could get to the dentist the next morning. That was six weeks ago. Will I pass a drug test? Will hair follicle tests go back that far?

2) You went through some really hard times when you lost a family member and the doctor gave you some pills to help with your anxiety. You stopped taking those several months ago and you're feeling much better now but you don't want to risk losing a job opportunity because your employer finds out you were on anxiety medication. Will it show up on a urinalysis test? Will it show up on a hair follicle test? Will companies care?

3) You have a shaved head and very little body hair and you want to know what the minimum hair length is that they'll need for a hair follicle test and will I fail if I don't have any hair that long? (I've been asked this several times)

There's probably 20 more if I took the time to remember them all. But obviously there are a whole lot of concerns people have for very legitimate reasons.

Hope I didn't spoil the party though. You guys were really rallying behind your cause and it was gaining momentum. If I let it go another few hours you probably would have had a name for your cause and t-shirts for sale online.

I was recently prescribed 5mg oxycodone, because I had a bad accident where my lower left chest muscles were separated from my ribs, and 6 dislocated, and two cracked ribs, all on left side, and I sometimes took an extra 2, to help me sleep better each night. I took them for 3 months, and took my last one 2 weeks ago. By the time I actually go in for any type of drug test, i will be at least 8 months separated from my last use. I could easily get waxed head to toe, and my body hair will be regrown by then, but, well, no thanks.

I am still in a lot of pain, but it is tolerable now, and aleve helps if it gets too bad. This is also the main reason I am holding off until March to start my training. That, and I would rather have several months of driving under my belt, to better prepare me for winter driving. If not for the accident I would have already been in training, or just finishing. In a way, it was a blessing in disguise, because I found TT, as a result of being bored, and second guessing myself, as to deciding where to do my training.

I have noticed, on many forums, that most people automatically jump on the "if you asked, you must be guilty" bandwagon. TBH, it surprised me to see it here. But it is reasonable to expect, because of the history associated with drugged driving.

Yes, there will be a drug test!, if you are on prescription drugs say something and as fore mentioned if they are not prescription and you have a little fender bender, you'll have a new home at the cross bar motel!

It's not worth it from my view point to throw away an excellent career choice and if you are selected for a random and decide to come up with an excuse as to why you didn't get it done, a refusal is not something you want on your DAC.

After I got hired and was dispatched 1 hour before leaving got the call to report for a random.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
