It depends on how the system is set up and the sensitivity settings as well. In a simple mode, it will just squawk and annoy you, eventually sending messages to the safety department. In other modes, it will over react and dang near put you through the windshield. My truck at Knight was so bad that driving into direct sunlight and passing through an underpass, the shadow and quick change from light to dark would kick it in.

Just did some digging around on the 'net, and Mobileye and Detroit Assurance are NOT the same. They may provide the same service, i.e. collision mitigation, but they come from two separate companies.

Detroit Assurance is owned and developed by Daimler (Mercedes-Benz), whereas as Mobileye, is well, Mobileye;

"Mobileye N.V. is headquartered in The Netherlands, with R&D in Israel and offices in the U.S., Cyprus and Japan. Mobileye is a technological leader in the area of advanced image sensing and processing technology for automotive applications, with a product offering covering the entire range of vision applications. Mobileye’s unique monocular vision platform works as a third eye to help drivers improve safety and avoid accidents, and has the potential to revolutionize the way we drive. Mobileye’s products of software algorithms bundled into the EyeQ system-on-chip can be found in BMW, GM and Volvo models since 2007." Volvo you say? Yes, here is how it "works" on their SUV's;

The Detroit Assurance suite of safety systems for Freightliner Cascadia and Cascadia Evolution trucks integrates with Detroit engines and transmissions, as well as the truck’s braking system. Here is a link for further info.

Different collision mitigation systems

From the videos I've seen, Detroit Assurance seems like a more fluid and sophisticated system. Any here have any experience with DA?
