There are YouTube videos on shifting, check it out. Probably more helpful to see and hear than someone explaining it in words.

I don't KNOW for a fact as I have yet to learn to drive a truck but I have a video here i found on youtube that might help...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADkahqxcgZQ

it looks like 7th gear would have you in the top right position in the high range selector and you would simply downshift to the middle bottom for 6th, then top middle for 5th, then flip the range selector to low range and shift to the bottom right for 4th, then top right for 3rd, bottom middle for 2nd and then top middle for 1st. I'm guessing the red button on side of shifter works the same way for getting to 9th+ gear from 8th in the same way as 4th to 5th but instead of using range switch (which should already be in high) you use splitter...

I could have some of this wrong but maybe you'll understand the video better.

The splitter "splits" each gear from 5th-8th in half. When upshifting from 5th low to 5th high for example, you simply push the splitter with your thumb forwards (away from you, towards the dash) and gently let off the accelerator and reapply. When ready to shift from 5th high to 6th low, you pull the splitter back towards you, into low and then upshift as normal (moving the gearshift). This video shows the process in more detail.

What are you having trouble with specifically? If it's a problem getting into the lower gear, make sure your speed is slow enough for the gear and you're not bringing up the RPMs too high (or too low, for that matter).

Interesting question, as the 13 and 18 speeds will leave you on the side of the road for repeatedly bad shifting unlike the 10 speeds. Why only 7th? what are your shift points, are you using the splitter or doing full gear down and upshifts?
