Ok. Here's my story.

Born in Newport Beach, CA. Lived for some short time in Yuma, AZ and Honolulu, HI before moving to Japan where I lived until I was 17, then moved back to the US (Maryland). That was in 1988, and I've been in the DMV area ever since (currently in VA).

I might not have lived in very many places, but I've visited every state except Alaska (one day I'll make it there), the 6 border provinces of Canada, several places in the Caribbean, and many places in Central and South America and most of Europe (and Russia). Places I would love to eventually visit would be Alaska, Antarctica, India, and New Zealand. And if I haven't died yet, then I'll hit the far east countries I haven't been to yet. The turmoil in the Middle East is regretable and unfortunate. My mother visited (and lived) in the area many many years ago, and it was beautiful country and I would have loved to have visited that area as well.

My plan is that 50% of my pay from trucking will be put into savings. In 5 years that money will go to remodeling our condo. The second 5 years will be a lump sum mortgage payment to bring the balance owed on the mortgage down significantly. The third 5 years will buy a piece of property for cash on the water somewhere in Port Townsend or Port Angeles (or somewhere on the Discovery Bay) in Washington. Then when we sell our condo sometime after that we'll take that cash and build our tiny house on the water and I'll have tea every morning on my front porch overlooking the water while my dogs play on the beach while I plan on where I'm going to be visiting next.

I'll touch back when all these things happen. Hahahaha!

If you don't know what you want, you end up with a lot you don't.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
