This is from U.S. Xpress' web-site

Would I be correct in assuming that running as a team would get me an extra 11.5 cpm?

CPM:

Cents Per Mile

Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.

Team pay is spilt weather it be miles or pay.... So .55 CPM for teams would be .275 CPM unless otherwise stated by company...

Thanks Scott O. but then you would get that 27.5 cpm on all the miles a team travels, right? So a team could do 240,000 miles a year, and that would be $66,000 per driver at 27.5 cpm.

If I am wrong s/where above, please splain to me sorry.gif

This is how crst does it so I say ask the recruiter but crst starts everyone out at .25 CPM for half the miles the truck turns.. I'm now making .33 CPM for half the miles... So if we drive 5000 miles I get paid .33 for 2500 miles...

If they are saying .55 CPM that means you get .275 for all miles the truck turns... You are correct but like I said check with the company first I could be wrong...

Oooh, I see. so in my example you would actually make less per cpm if you ran as a team ... 27.5 (team) vs 43.5 (solo)

Does that have something to do with going through CRST's training program? Like instead of tuition payments, you're taking a small paycut? Do they bump you up later, after your contract is complete?

I know Schneider is paying me .40 cpm , for all my logged miles, and whatever the other driver is getting for his logged miles are. Will be making the full 40, not 20, which is what I love about them. I know most companies do the split.

Yes but with raises... Start at .25 then at 3 months .26 and 6 months .33 and .41 at a year... You will make weekly payments for room and bus like 40 bucks a week for just under the 6 months and you make 4 payments of 25 a week for the physical and drug test...

That's really good and which is why I said ask the company cuz they all pay different..
