Do the new forms/certs invalidate current physicals, or are they good til they expire even if on the old forms?

That's been my thought... I just got my DOT physical, I would imagine it's good till expires, but not sure.
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

I'm sure your old physical is still valid until it expires.

This is nonsense. Aside from anything that may make you lose consciousness nothing else should matter. I have never seen another industry constantly getting hammered by the feds like trucking. Doctors will be flunking people that come in with a cold because they will be scared.

Has any relative no matter how distant have an incurable disease?
My dad died of MS. They need to flunk me. Why take a chance?

I'm a no to answer all those questions except nervousness? As far as to what extent? I get really nervous at a job interview but i think that is called being human.

How old are you? If you're still young, give it some time....it will catch up with ya! lol
Even if you have had past issues no one can access that information without you first physically signing medical release forms. Not even the military can dredge up old medical until you sign a release allowing them to pull it.
It's no one's business if you have anxiety or depression honestly who doesn't have either? Humans have emotion and some days you can be great some not so great. Unless you feint while driving or need 8incheck think glasses or are criminally insane none of it matters in my opinion.

Indeed, you are protected by HIPAA laws. Unless it's from a court order, no one can access your medical info without your consent.

Well that's one way to interpret all this I guess. Or if you took out the cynical slant you could say that insurance companies and trucking companies are being held to higher standards today than ever before so they're doing greater diligence than ever to make sure today's drivers are indeed healthy enough to be driving commercial vehicles on America's public highways.
And let's not pretend that having health issues in the past is no indication of whether or not you'll have health issues in the future. It obviously is indicative in most cases. You wouldn't be able to determine if someone will partake in criminal activities in the future if you weren't allowed to know their criminal past now would you? So naturally it's the same with determining future health risks of an individual. They have to know your past in order to get a clear picture of your current health and future health risks.
And don't forget, there is a lot of data showing that truck fatalities are on the rise in recent years and it's starting to get more and more press coverage. People want to know what's being done to make America's highways safer and this is one way of doing exactly that.
I understand there are always going to be some gray areas and a few special exceptions when you're trying to make laws that govern large groups of people. But it's going to be difficult to make the argument that we shouldn't do more to ensure drivers are healthy today. I mean, can you see yourself publicly lobbying Congress for less stringent medical standards for commercial drivers?
