No Pink Jeep?
No way, those guys don't go anywhere. Lol. While Sedona is my legal residence, I've spent most of the last 3 decades traveling around the Lower 48 and Alaska. Renaissance Festivals, Science Fiction Conventions, Celtic Festivals, Historical themed tourist attractions, that ilk. Looking forward to getting paid for Buster and I to drive as far away as we can as often as we can, and let someone else take care of running the business: payroll, contracts, equipment purchases, etc. I'm used to hard work, physical labor, going for days without talking to another person, and 80 hour work weeks. It's going to be interesting to be required by law to slow down.
Lol yeah I guess the Sedona guys dont really. I worked for Pink Jeep Las Vegas for years. Been too Sedona, beautiful town. We went lots of places in Las Vegas.
I too am changing careers. Thought very hard about going with Knight myself. Might go with Roehl though. Kinda want to go flatbed now. Still getting over my terrible first attempt at trucking.

After looking at darn near everybody that hires noobies and allows a dog my final choice came down to Roehl & Knight. In the end I decided I just like Knight better. I've watched the company grow and have heard good things about them for years. While in the immediate sense anywhere Buster & I hang our hat & leash is home, on a deeper level I've always considered "Home" where Saguaros grow free.
Plus, my Ex is from St Paul, too close to Wisconsin for my liking. I was born and raised in the desert, there's a zero on the thermometer for a reason.

Yesterday I passed the DOT Physical. Today I decided to accept Knight's offer. Very excited. I have been researching and studying for almost a year, and received offers from several excellent companies. My thanks to everyone on this site for the information and encouragement available to those of us deciding on a career in trucking. I'm driving to Phoenix on Monday to take my CLP exam. Thanks mostly to The High Road Training Program I am consistently scoring in the mid 90s on every different test exam I can find, but I know that on the drive down I will begin to get anxious about the test. So I've made arrangements to tour Knight's Training Facility and meet with their Trainer before I head to the DMV. I figure this way instead of arriving at the testing facility after possibly psyching myself down by fixating on questions I'm not 100% certain about on the drive, I will psych myself up by spending time with the trucks and personnel and then head to the exam. I still have some work to do to shut down my custom jewelry business of 18 years, and then I'll be heading to training in mid January. Really looking forward to beginning this new adventure. Excelsior!
