Biggest thing is to stay away from caffine (coffee etc). Make arrangements to get with your family Dr ASAP and get this checked/under control.
If you feel strongly about this, when you talk to Prime's Dr, tell him your concerns. The biggest thing that could happen is you will be sent home to see your Dr, get on meds and wait for at least 30 days before you can come back once you are on meds. So it's in your ball court as to how to proceed.

I'm glad you are taking it more serious than the nurse...
I don't think that nurse should be one... she lied on a federal document about something that could hurt you or others.
My bp fluctuates from what I've seen testing it on my own. Stress plays a lot into it. Whenever I'm stressed it shoots up but if I'm having a great day its within normal ranges. I took a dot physical about two months ago and passed with flying colors when I went to get my permit. I took a greyhound for 30 some hours to get here and got like two hours of sleep. And with everything going on here at such a fast pace, I think that's why my bp was high. I took it earlier v after posting this and I was fine. I will still have it looked at by a doctor asap whenever I get a chance.

While HBP is a something that has to be taken care of, taking BP is an, in exact science, kind of like shooting at a moving target. There's White Coat, caffiene, driving in traffic before you get to the doctors office ect.
Taking ones BP while resting and lying down is a normal procedure, not cheating. A good way to check your BP is to check it when you first wake up in the morning while still lying down, if it's high, there's a good chance of Sleep apnea.
The height of your arm (usually the left as it's closer to your heart) is very important, it needs to be level with your heart. I've experimented with my BP machine while sitting on a couch, 20 point difference from arm hanging down, to resting it on top of the back of the couch.
I also figgered out that while trying to relax for a lower reading it got worse. I realized I was unconcisely breathing to slowly (Blood O2 going lower, heart working harder ?). Found out if I took 10 deep breaths before, and, during testing, in thru nose and out thru mouth (not so fast as to be hyperventalating or noticed by anyone) that my BP would also be 10 to 20 points lower.
This is why doctors sometimes have patients get their own BP machine and record at different times of the day, to get an average. BP is best controlled by diet and exercise as even Medications don't work over time as your body compensates and they have to keep adding more meds.
I'm not recomending anything to anybody, except to do your own research, Dan
A physical disorder in which you have pauses in your breathing, or take shallow breaths, during sleep. These pauses can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Normal breathing will usually resume, sometimes with a loud choking sound or snort.
In obstructive sleep apnea, your airways become blocked or collapse during sleep, causing the pauses and shallow breathing.
It is a chronic condition that will require ongoing management. It affects about 18 million people in the U.S.
Thanks for the information turbo Dan. Everything you said makes a lot of sense.
My BP runs a little bit high myself (I need to lose weight and I'm working on that) so when I did my DOT physical last week I ate 2 bananas before hand. one when I left my drug screen and another when I got to dr's office for physical. previously my BP ran in the mid 140s, not horrible but high enough I would have only gotten a 1 year med card, when they took my BP for physical is was in 130s... not sure if ti said 135 or 139, but either one was good enough for me. apparently potassium is good for temp lowering blood pressure in a hurry, but not 30-40 points worth.

Laying down resting a few minutes before they take it, allows the blood pressure to drop, since now its easier to flow back to the heart, rather than standing up. banana's and avacados good for lowering it, as well as relaxed breathing as mentioned earlier. i'm always playing with the little tester machine at home , even while smoking a cig etc to see the BP / pulse fluctuations each time....

I am currently at Primes Psd program and I went to take make dot physical earlier this week. When my blood pressure was taken it was in the upper 170's over upper 90's. I was informed to come back to the clinic the next day and retake my blood preasure. When I had it retested it was still way high, so they told me to come back later in the day. When I arrived later that day they told me to lie down on the bed for 10 minutes and they would take it. 10 minutes later they took it and it was still high, but the nurse looked at me and smiled and said that I had passed ( even though I hadn't ) and she put down that I was 140 over 80. I am now worried that because my blood pressure is sky high and that's while I'm just chillen. I'm afraid that it will get even higher in the truck do to stress and something might happen, I.e. I pass out or have a stroke and kill someone in the process.
What should I do? I badly need to get my bp treated, and if I continue through the training it will be a hot minute l before I have the chance to get it treated.
Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Feel free to text me or reply any advice you have for me.
