I found a conversation mentioning, that the 7/4 - 7/3 is slip seating. And a little more digging, and i found that it is 3 drivers rotating with 2 trucks. So while it is still slip seating, you would still be familiar with either truck that you are driving,
Ya....id think they don't clean the trucks inside cab in between each driver.....
....so if the other drivers are smokers, or don't keep the truck clean, you have to deal with that...ugh
I have a tanker endorsement(haven't driven tanker) and a twic card. Looked at ups fedex old d etc... But no openings in my area. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the suggestions
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
You may want to look at local distribution centers in your area. Companies big companies.
You may want to look at local distribution centers in your area. Companies big companies.
The reason I say that is because the old distribution company I use to work for UNFI has a 1 year experience requirement. It's been my goal this whole time. Go back to the company I use to work for but for much better money.

I can't vouch for other companies or accounts but we have "non-smoking" trucks. It is the drivers responsibility vacating the truck to clean up their trash before handing off to another driver.
I found a local route that gets me home every weekend and 2-3 days a week in addition. Don't want to reveal the name just yet until all the administration is complete but it's basically all set. Thanks for all the help. Be safe out there

Well if you do the 7 days out, and 3-4 days home...the truck isn't sitting for 7 days....
