PR, No problem at all. Believe it or not I do understand your point and I can see how some of the experienced veterans could get sick of weeding through "us newbies" ? after ?. I am SO thankful for the people that do take the time with things like this. I entered CDL school approx. 3 weeks ago and I now have my CDL with all the endorsements in hand after a ton of work on my instructors and my part. I don't and won't take any of this for granted as things can happen so damn fast with all the weight we're hauling that sometimes I ask a simple question before doing my part in the research dept. CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
