Miss Vamp, may I present The Dude:
(That's not milk in the glass!)
Miss Vamp, I thought you were already in school. I don't know why I thought that, but I did.
Just slow down mentally and physically. Type A personalities tend to make it worse in their head than real life. I know that one chapter and verse. It's not that bad just listen to the staff and they will walk you right through it. You will be your own worst enemy at this point. You'll do fine. Remember a good day is when you get to the end nothing got hit. Everything else really doesn't matter.
RV you have already overcome a couple of obsticals to arrive at this point in your journey.
If you really want this, it will happen for you. Keep your eye on the prize and expect some frustration. No one goes through this without challenges, but again focus on the goal and I believe success will follow.
Good luck!
Good luck and relax. I'm sure it's going to be a laid back environment yet serious about the training at the same time. Its not a serious formal environment like you are in a university going for a PhD lol.
Just first day jitters like starting any job.
First day was very fun, but the pre trip inspection has a LOT of new words I have a hard time to retain in my brain!!!
Once you learn the parts, the pre trip isn't all that bad since it's mostly repetition.
You got yourself all worked up beforehand and the first line in your post was that it was fun. Seeeee, just stick with it and stay calm.

Here is Trucking Truth's All Things Pre-Trip - check lists, Daniel's famous Pre-trip Inspection as a forum topic, video links, and more! The neat thing about the pre-trip, once you recognize the physical thing, you'll be able to say the right things to do the inspection.
This is the first day, you do not need to memorize everything by Monday!
Good luck!
A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.
Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
Trust me before the end of the week you will be doing a pretrip in uour dreams. Just relax it will all come together. The instructors do this everyday and will walk you down the right path
