the two that are now misdemeanors, because they changed the $ amount, are that I over drafted my debit card, and a check, on the same day, to the same business in 2 different cities. final charges, Illegal use of a financial transaction device, and uttering and publishing. both under $25, (2002) the country store, used one of the old CC manual swiper things. The judge even saw that I did have money in my acct, but other bills debited before the check, and DC hit the bank. But for whatever reason, I was used as an example, to the rest of the people being sentenced that day. The smashing mailboxes, final charge, Malicious Destruction of property over $100 (1992) And lastly. This one has a back story, so I will abbreviate it. I have two children, and my ex wife and I still get along great. I was paying child support, but not through FOC. So when I had a show cause hearing, The judge, decided that while it was good that I paid,( and we both kept receipts showing I paid ), I did not pay through them, so I had to REPAY all that money AGAIN! that did not sit well with me, so I made the situation worse by opening my mouth, thus, my 4th felony. I think the judge had it in for me, because my dad flunked him in high school economics.my that last one was in 2003.

It's difficult to paint all so-called 'felons' & 'convicts' with the same brush when our judicial system is so backward, contradictory and non-intuitive, but some will try. [cue the everyone makes mistakes line again, but in all seriousness this time]

To the OP & whomever else may benefit ... I know drug dealers & child molestors & I don't know how much more. God bless you for being willing to see your crimes, the damage they've done to you and others, and to be willing with a full heart & positive attitude to work past it no matter what, no matter how long. I have no answers to offer, only encouragement. Not everyone will shun you! I KNOW that for a fact.

I didn't even know that first one could be a criminal charge of any kind let alone a felony. I have always hated when places don't charge your card till days or weeks later them bam you forgot to spent that money and get hit with an overdraft. or how about those gas stations that put a $1 charge then wait 2 weeks to process transactions... THEN you get the full charge.

child support is just plain dumb... too many parents don't even spend that money on the child. I think child support should be like WIC... get it on a debit card or coupon system where you can only spend it on certain things at certain places... buying junk food, going to theme parks, etc is not supporting the child, buying groceries, children's clothes (notice I said children's... not the parents). I hate hearing about child support being used for anything other than that... ticks me off that's it's not enforced better except to make sure the other parent pays it.

Lol, OK. Remember, "he that is without sin...." ,and "judge not..."

The thing is, I have heard it all, by so many different people. Everyone has their own views, beliefs, and moral compass. I know what I did was wrong, and i paid my debt to "society" for each offense. And more importantly, I paid my debt to myself. You see, I was able to turn my life around, and develop a great relationship with my 2 kids, become a temporarily successful business owner, and help other people get a second chance at building a responsible life. I have been called a dead beat dad, when I was paying $400 a week for my kids, and travelling to Ohio every other week to see them. I have been told I will never amount to anything. I am not afraid to take a risk and fail, learning, and moving on. But the best part is, I could really care less what your thoughts are, because 1. I don't know you. 2. I don't live my life for your approval. And 3. I am here to learn from experienced people, and take their knowledge and apply it as it pertains what I need to know. OP had a valid question about his record, so you actually helped show him that anything is possible, even with a record. Yes it may take longer than desired, but it can happen, if he sticks to it, and keeps his eyes on what is important.

Side note. I don't get into shouting matches, when it comes to stuff like this, I present myself as as, and people are fine with it, or we agree to disagree. You have your reasons for being here, and I have mine. Point is, we share a common goal, and that is really all that should matter. I don't let other people's personal lives, or their past, deter me from my goals, on tgis website, or any other, because I don't live their life, and they don't live mine. I just offer what I can to help them achieve their goals. And hopefully gain some wisdom from other people in the process.

Lol..no problem leting you guys know here...if i ask for help i really need it.. I only have one fellony and a couple misdameanor batterys..fellony was an assault with intent to cause bodily harm..that was when i was 18 and it was in 2007..but from what i under stand..they go by the year and date you were off probation/parole? or served your time flat out and was realeased. Ill keep trying and thanks for pat on the back. Sorry guys no weirdo here Queen haha..
