I have applied everywhere. No luck so far. Everyone tells me that their insurance wont pick me up. here are the accidents i have had that are preventing me from finding work.

1. 2014 Blind side backing was the only option to get into the dock in peidmont alabama. had a guy helping me back. this is why you never listen to anyone telling you to back, always get out and look regardless. i touched a guys fender. put a thumbnail scratch in his tractor. no police. or ticket.

2. 2015 A car made an illegal uturn and went under my tandems.....not cited. not preventable

3. 2015 car cut me off and she slammed on her brakes because a fire truck was waiting on a green light. truck did not have sirens or lights on, she assumed they did. i could not go into the left or right lane to avoid it. Thankfully the guys in the firetruck stayed to tell the police what happened. I was not cited. but my company let me go because of it.

all accidents there were no injuries and minimal damage. I cant find work.....any body know of a place that would hire me? Im from florida, want to get into SE REGIONAL

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

Tandems:

Tandem Axles

A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

David - maybe you should get a copy of your DAC report to see what is on it. Maybe, slight maybe, not on your DAC. If something is when you are telling your prospective employer about the accident(s) maybe provide them some official documentation to back up the reported incidents.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

i ordered my DAC report 3 weeks ago. still havent got it yet. i went ahead and disputed the accidents, because HOGAN is so slow at responding to anything. They messed up 5 of my checks while i was working there. not once did payroll answer the phones, fix the issue, or call me back. should have quit there when i had the chance.

My suggestion is try the big companies and get a copy of your dac so you know whats on it. Also companies look at tickets and do violations as well when they run your license so if you have excessive tickets that would be a reason why as well. And even tho you weren't cited for the incidents there is still a police report for those incidents you need to get copies of those so that it proves you were not at fault. And if you can prove your not at fault in those accidents most companies will do everything they can to get you approved with their insurance

How are the companies finding out about the accidents if you never got a ticket for one?
