Paperwork for the truck is indexed in a three-ring binder with pocket for manifest and SDS. Small holder on binder for license when giving to DOT. Index has penciled in list of expiration dates. DOT inspector was impressed.

Did you show him your poop bags? That would have impressed him for sure!

Oh well, there’s always next time… maybe you can also show him your gun. That’s sure to make an impression!

Manifest:

Bill of Lading

An accurate record of everything being shipped on a truck, often times used as a checklist during unloading.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
