So I'm driving through Wyoming making great time. I got some Del Taco from Ogden, UT that morning and I open up my taco and try to put some hot sauce on it.

The hot sauce won't come out so I squeeze a little harder and it squirted right into my eye ball. Oh, that hurt, especially when going 65mph.

Of course there's no rest area or truck stop nearby, no sink to wash my eye with.

I've lived a long life, but this has never happened to me before. How about you?

No hot sauce in my eyeball, but I had a bee once fly inside my jacket while riding my motorcycle. I also had bleach splash in my eye when I was doing laundry and opened a new bottle. Fun times at the ER.

And what do you consider a long life? I am almost 3 times your age and have never done that (I guess it's because I have a little more sense than to try that driving 65 down the road). But then again, I thought company trucks at Prime were governed at 62 max?

No i haven't squirted hot sauce into my eye, but i would argue that a good enough hot sauce can cause just as much pain after being ingested. shocked.png

Ouch! No hot sauce in the eye, thank God, but I was careless enough once to have rubbed my eye after cutting a hot pepper up. Chalk that one up to stupidity. Never have I experienced such a burning sensation. Hope you are ok now and learnt a lesson.

On a slightly related note i did once pepper spray myself by accident. I was in a small restroom and didn't notice that the pepper spray stick in my pocket safety had somehow been disabled. When i leaned over to wash my hands i heard a somewhat loud spraying noise, and when i looked down i got a face full of spray. The pain was staggering to the point that i was instantly stunned, and since i was standing in the small room i started choking because i couldn't breathe the saturated air. I tried to quickly wash my hands and face but the fact that i really couldn't breathe along with the panic nergy involved caught up to me and things started going black so i rushed out of the room as fast as possible gasping for fresh air. Good times. rofl-3.gif

Forgive me Daniel, I have no doubts about your experience and track record, but...

Is trying to open and squeeze a hot sauce packet onto a taco, while driving a big rig down the freeway, really the wisest and safest thing to do?

Daniel seriously, first the hot sauce then the comment about living a long life, talk about hooking a conversation lol. Nope never done that and I will take from your experience and not try it. Besides I am very un coordinated so earing and driving don't mix. Stay safe my friend

Right! Squiring taco sauce into tacos, eyeballs or anywhere while you drive a truck going 65, 55, even 35 is not conducive to long lives, either yours or your victim's.

Sorry to come on so strongly, Daniel, but trucking can be a dangerous business.
