I love how some of you drivers are acting like you're perfect and have never eaten while driving. Get real guys.

Daniel, has to be the BEST post you've ever submitted on TT. Laughing with you brother, but no, never had hot sauce in the eyeball. You're the champ.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

I once got coke up my nose... Maybe it was Pepsi. Either way it hurt!

Omg... at least I'm not alone

If you read what I wrote, I was specifically referring to the act of opening the hot sauce packet and applying it to the taco, not the act of actually eating the taco. (There's a sentence I never thought I'd write on TT!)

As Errol said, I apply my fixings and whatnot while stopped, then if I'm on the open highway with little to no other distractions (like heavy traffic or bad weather conditions) I will proceed to eat. But if something happens where I feel like the food is drawing too much of my attention away from the road, it gets set down on the passenger seat until I feel safe again.

Anyway, I wasn't trying to sound high and mighty. Besides, it sounds like the universe taught you your lesson on it's own...

This is why they're considering new regulations to allow only mild sauce to be applied while in motion.

I can't recall quite that exact scenario but I have rubbed my eyes after handling jalapenos and it's instantly regrettable!

Haha sound like trucking has some of the same obstacles as cooking, I've had wing sauce in the eye while tossing, and jalapeno juice shoot me in the eye while dicing. Evaporating chilli paste is the closest thing I can imagine to mace, and evaporated vinegar separates the men from the boys. Don't assume kitchen life ain't rough. Lol

Mmmmm I haven't had del taco in 2.5 years, not since I was in CO helping the Red Cross respond to the flooding they had there in sep 2013.

I don't think I have ever squirted hot sauce (or anything else for that matter) in my eye. Then again I don't use hot sauce on anything. Not that i'm against spicy I just never feel the need. does del taco still have those 35 or 50 cent tacos or have they gone up in price?

They do still have them but they're priced at .69c per though they are slightly larger. In fact, that's exactly what I was trying to eat!

I've been in a room full of tear gas. Does that count?
