A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Consider saving you money and going to a company like prime. It cost me $155 up front. Best decision I ever made.
Ull get better training aND know what you are doing by the time you get your trucK.. they will advance you food money u til you pass that you will pay back later. Then training is guaranteed $700 gross per week... won't find that at ant other company
I failed my backing the first time... then perfect score next time. good luck
To late took out loans for a it so im stuck with them ill pass then work 24/7 to pay loans off then ill be free

Once you get rolling, you will have the loans paid off in no time at all. Keep focused, and you will succeed.
Stay safe

Well here's my story. .. my first trainer wàs awesome but I could not understand his backing. He left prime after I failed the backing the first try. Then I got a trainer to teach me backing only. I passed with perfect score then got put on the road test and impeded traffic... auto fail. The second day... impeded traffic auto fail... that examiner felt sooo bad. He said I had the best score of the week But had to fail me cause I stalled with someone behind me.
I drove that truck some more..it was a lot different than the one I learned on. Once i stopped stalling I got 9 points and passed. Just breathe. The testers want you to pass.

Actually, most major carriers will offer tuition reimbursement for most, if not all, of what you paid for the schooling. I know Werner, if you choose to go with them, pays up to $7,500 for CDL school, and I believe they pay the loan directly, but you'll have to double check that. If you want a recruiter's direct line (not the sales recruiting number) let me know. Their regional recruiting guy just visited our school last week and left us with a lot of good info. If Werner isn't your first choice, check that carrier's website. I can't think of a company that doesn't reimburse at least something for CDL school.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
