I've had cats all my life. Never had issues with cat litter dust. My house is clean. My truck is probably the cleanest vehicle of anyone I know....even my mechanic thinks I'm a clean freak because my truck is black (Nissan Armada) and each time he sees me roll by his shop, he says there's no other truck in town as clean as mine...lol (redneck town here...LOTS of big SUV's and pick up trucks)
Some customers do not allow pets as well. Usually neat packing places. Pretty sure it's Cargill and Smithfield that say at the gate no pets

One could use a pet carrier to keep the cat in while driving so they wouldn't end up under your brake pedal or something. But you would have to ask each company to find out specifically if they allow it or not. I can't imagine being able to focus and concentrate on my driving with a cat moving around and getting in and out of my lap and etc. But on the other hand if you always take your cat in your car they might be used to it and just sleep or something. Our family cats hated the car, probably because the only time the got to ride in one was for a trip to the vet. LOL
