I've been sitting on I-40 for an hour and 15 minutes, not moving. It looks like about 1" of snow has settled on the roadway between the cars. The Qualcomm switched me to On Duty. Well, to save my duty and drive time I switched to Off Duty. This just might make my 30 minute break.

I'm doing non-duty stuff right now, like posting on TT. We're not budging anyway, so might as well make myself useful!

Projected accident clear time still has about an hour to go.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

Which direction you headed, Errol? We're forecasted to get 12-15 inches of snow in North Central Kentucky and it's coming down pretty good. My guess is your heading west though. Enjoy your break and stay safe. You know those Nashville drivers are *almost* as crazy as tge Louisville ones.

I'm not moving, but if I was, is be heading West to Memphis and some Home Time.

I'm right at the TN-155, and the backup ahead is about 5 miles.

My mom just texted me pics from her house, looks like its coming down pretty good. I'm close to Chattanooga, it might head our way.

Since my last post I have moved maybe one half mile. I'm still stuck in basically "not moving" traffic.

I'm over here in Jersey waiting on the blizzard to hit. I was supposed to deliver on Long Island but they closed early due to the impending weather.

It's still snowing in Nashville. I got in the jam at 9:15am, it's now 1pm. (Just saw a BIGGER tow truck go by.) Still waiting.

We got a message this morning on our Qualcomm saying if we were in the Nashville area, to please shut down immediately.

I'm heading home for a 34 hour reset. At this moment I have 5.5 hours to complete a 4.1 hour drive. I hope I get out of the jam in the next hour!
