So sorry Errol but it's not happening. The local news reports are that the situation in Nashville is getting even worse. I just talked to my oldest daughter in Clarksville.
I passed through Clarksville a few days ago, I think.
It's six hours idling this truck in still actually east of Nashville.
You are well on your way to completing your 10 hour break or at least an 8 hr.
Current traffic report:

Westbound traffic is affected with rubbernecking delays. Eastbound traffic is affected with no delays.
It's 3:30pm right now. My 14 hour clock goes to zero in 3hr, 45min, or 7:15 pm.

So what do you do in this situation?
Hmmm anyway you can get off on 155/Briley Parkway and get around that mess?
So what do you do in this situation?
In that situation, you make a phone call. They already know he's caught up in the mess and notes have already been made. As long as communication keeps up, they will adjust the logs to give him a chance to get off the road.
I'm in Accomac Virginia on weather shutdown. The white stuff is coming down hard.
Be safe out there Errol.
Dragon Man had it right. Called & spoke with the chief DM. I told him the situation. He said to use the "Safe Haven" rule.*
He understood how 6-1/2 hours to go 1-1/2 miles can eat up your time. I was 30 minutes over by the time I got parked.
BTW Nashville had the most snow, outside of town on I-40 the road was snow-less.
*newcomers: The so-called Safe Haven rule only applies to Hazmat loads in a particular situation. It's not something you just call out "King's X!"
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
