A wild jackalope near Greybull, Wyoming. This little critter was either very hungry or very curious to get so close.
Ok, WAIT a second here, I thought jackalopes were mythical creatures that don't actually exist??????
Me too hahaha.
A free, continuous flow of fresh, ice cold mountain water on the side of the road between Helena and Missoula, MT. Pat, I bet you've seen this!
Yep, that water spring is awesome. I stop and fill my water jugs there. It is on Hwy 12 going over McDonald Pass on the west side. I can't remember the highway but when I was a kid there was an artesian well between Morton and Elbe, WA that was awesome too. Fresh clean and cold water.
Man I guess I should have labeled my photos.... LOL I will give you a quick rundown.
Pics 1&2 are Canyon Ferry lake between Townsend and Helena, MT Pic 3 is near Moab, UT Pic 7 is Marias Pass between Great Falls and Kalispell up near Glacier National Park. Pick 13 with all the trucks lined up is near Gardner, MT just about 5 miles north of town. Pick was looking back to the north. All the rest of them are from inside Yellowstone park.
Man there are some magazine/postcard quality photo shots coming in. I know there are more out there, Errol and Robert can't be the only door swingers with a camera. Don't tell me that you are all going to let a few skateboarders show you up?
Come on Brett, you have to have some pictures that are not in black and white to share...
Love the sunset, sunrise photos, they are awesome.
Had to throw in a sunrise photo and the one over the Brooklyn Bridge is one of my personal favorites.

PC, you and Sue D. have been misinformed. Of course jackalopes are real. They were first seen by a trapper in 1829 I believe. Their native range is mainly within the state of Wyoming.
When they are in rut it is quite a sight. The sound of the males' horns clashing isn't as loud as elk or deer or bighorn sheep, but it can still make quite a racket. I remember one time when our family was camping in Yellowstone in 1972 (that park's 100th anniversary btw) and the noise made it hard to fall asleep. I was just a kid then, but maybe that's why I recall it so vividly.
