In order to get a driving permit to start a company sponsored CDL training program will I need to completely understand all sections of the High Road training program? I see there are several sections such as Hazmat , Doubles/triples, Tankers, etc. or do I only need certain sections for a permit? Any advice would be welcome
my state required air brakes, general knowledge, and combinations for the permit. The other stuff is just endorsements that you can pick up at your own pace.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
