Reading this forum has really gotten me excited, and a little nervous. Can't wait to get into a truck. Can't wait to start this new chapter of mine and my wife's life. Going to start putting in apps the first of March. Hope it goes well and we can get on the road. Just wanted to say thanks to all you ladies and gents who have put so much valuable info on this forum, and for helping to feed my inner geek that is really spazzing and ready to roll.

You're only a little nervous?

My motto is; If you're not afraid, you don't understand the situation.

Honestly, I don't think a day has passed that didn't present something I've never encountered before.

Your level of nerves is all your own. Embrace the challenge and attack with your eyes wide open. The road will challenge you in ways you have never thought of. Always, every day, learn and improve. Be willing to be taught. Be willing to teach. The most important thing is, know why you are a trucker. Have an out and work towards it.

Ok, machismo made me only say a little. Trust me. I am reading and rereading areas on this site, and yes I'm reading the book. Going to reread SC's CDL manual next week, and then I'm going to start on the Hight Road Training. I love this site, and love getting all the nuggests of information from all the guys, and ladies, who are driving. Just wanted to show some appreciation.
