Kevin, before looking into a cdl school, you'll need to look into the FMCSA SPE certificate program due to your disability. You'll have to fulfill the requirements for that certificate before you're allowed to test and there's the slight possibility that you may not qualify. You can find out about it on the FMCSA website and then call the appropriate person in your region and they will help walk you through the process which can take 4-6 weeks.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle
The FMCSA was established within the Department of Transportation on January 1, 2000. Their primary mission is to prevent commercial motor vehicle-related fatalities and injuries.

Is there a link to them

To engage and then disengage the clutch twice for every gear change.
When double clutching you will push in the clutch, take the gearshift out of gear, release the clutch, press the clutch in again, shift the gearshift into the next gear, then release the clutch.
This is done on standard transmissions which do not have synchronizers in them, like those found in almost all Class A trucks.

The only reason I say to research it now is that once you sign on with a company, you'll do another physical. If that doctor annotated that they feel you need to have it, it'll throw a wrench in things. I was told before I started with Knight that I wouldn't need it and guess what? I had to have one, which almost got me released from the program and the company.
Do you have a disability also?
