You might have to wear a Viking helmet and carry a sword or something so people won't question your manhood. Just tell em coffee makes you feel bloated and slows you down when you're plundering and you miss out on all the good stuff.

Great suggestion! I'll have to consider that... I wonder what kind of reaction that waitress would give me if I walked in there in that get up?

OS, just throwing this out there, I'll gladly accept you into my 'Brotherhood of Tea Drinkers Association'. Let me know if you want to join! Brett isn't allowed in though, he drinks coffee so he's unclean.

Have tried it with a truckload of cream and or sugar? You even drink the glorified hoit chocolate "cappuccino" machine style. That way you would have the proper cup, as camouflage.

I have gone into some Pilots and bought a hot chocolate occasionally, and they just rang it up as a coffee. I did feel a strange sense of empowerment when I was walking around with that "camouflaged cup." Almost like a testosterone boost - at least I felt like a real truck driving man when I had that cup in my hand! smile.gif

Good job G-Town. Now, I've got another musical trivia question for you guys. Who was the once popular rock band who did a version of that song?

Versions of this come on Sirius channel 60 often. Willie and Dave dudley do a fine job too.

No, I'd have to agree......you have to drink coffee if you want to be in the big leagues.......consider it a show of solidarity.

I do feel like an outsider... It's a strange thing about coffee and me. My wife drinks it every morning, and I actually love the smell of it, and I wish that I could drink it - I usually will try a cup once a year during the cold of the winter, because the smell is alluring to me, but it always has the same result. I get sick at my stomach. There's something about coffee that just doesn't work for me - it's actually a disappointment, but I've had this issue for so many years now that it doesn't bother me so much... until my waitress insulted my manhood over it!

Old school trying mixing hot chocolate with it.. My old co driver loved coffee but it messed up his stomach so he uses a little hot chocolate with it... Just put a little bit of the powder in your cup and mix with coffee..

Not sure if this would improve your standing as a "real truck driving man", but have you tried a latte Old School? I don't mean a pumpkin spice or other adulteration of a latte, just steamed milk, and espresso.

My mother in law drinks coffee 24/7/365. I always thought it odd to see her drinking coffee in the middle of summer. To each their own though...

I'm 42 and I MIGHT have drank 10 cups my entire life OS. It's just not for me. Don't take too much comfort in that statement though, as my kids all think I'm quit the odd bird.

I did once try a cup of Pilots bold blend. Was getting a little tired and still had about 200 miles to go. Thought a little pick me up to get home would be perfect. After about half the cup I think that I could have ran the rest of the way home.

I agree that coffee smells wonderful...
