Every trucking company well do a dot drug test. Its federal law. The hair test that some companys do is not a dot drug test and can not be heald agest u. The hair test is also only good for 5 months so if u have been off of drugs for 5 or more months u have nothing to worrie about.

Jeff, I don't know how you came up with your information, but brother it is totally false. A drug test is a drug test. Doesn't matter whether it's a D.O.T. prescribed test or not. IT WILL BE HELD AGAINST YOU.

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
