It's a bit late but I was around the prime terminal (passed by it twice atually, once when getting load and again after getting weighed) picking up a (rather heavy... 44k lbs worth) load of mac n cheese from Kraft in springfield, mo.
that was friday night / sat morning. interesting place if I do say so myself. security gives you a map of the property. the best way I can explain it is like driving on a whirlpool. you start in the outside perimeter and drive around and around and eventually in the middle.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
My partner & I may still be here tonight, but then again we may be called & picked up by our new trainers any minute.

Well going to stop by Springfield terminal tonight in between my run. We have about 30 hours to kill before our delivery so decided to get an alignment on the truck and time for my co driver to file his taxes. Anyone around Prime tonight or tomorrow let me know.
