Can't wait to get MY 450. Only a math teacher could figure that one out. Thanks for the good laugh this morning!
Priceless :)
Back in my day we used Roman numerals all the time!

So you can use Roman numerals to multiply?
XXIV times VII = ?
I bet you wrote with Greek letters, too!
CLXVIII
Don't forget, I just came out of high school, I still know how to do math!

Yes, but you forgot to show your work! No points for you!
Maybe I should save these messages. I can have her read to me as we cross Nebraska. I'll try to figure out what the message really is.
XXIV -> XXIII, while VII stays as it is.
XXIIII * VII = V * XX + V * IIII + II * XX + II * IIII
= XXXXXXXXXX + VVVV + XXXX + IIIIIIII = C + XX + XXXX + VIII = C + XXXXX + X + VIII = CLXVIII
I have never cared too much for the use of Roman numerals anyhow. The same folks who came up with those, liked to brush their teeth with powdered mouse brains, as well as eat huge quantities of food, then go to the vomitorium and stick a feather down their throat so they could go back and eat again.

Yesterday I received a QC "important" message. I was driving at the time, and being "important", I asked the GPS lady to read it for me. (We're talking, at the moment.) Turns out it was about Swift drug and alcohol testing - it had gone out to all Swift drivers.
But there was a strange phrase in what I head: "Please do not risk your four hundred fifty that you have worked so hard for." Talk about distracted driving! 450 what? Paycheck? No, I make more than that. Nobody spoke of a $450 bonus. 450 miles? Who knew??
I got to where I could read it. I narrowed the phrase to "DO NOT RISK YOUR CDL THAT YOU HAVE WORKED SO HARD FOR."
Oh! "CDL" is Roman numerals for 450!!
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
