Hello everyone, Im very excited to say that I have received my greyhound bus ticket today. I will be leaving from Mount Laurel NJ on the 27th, arriving in Springfield 28 hours later. I very much look forward to the experience! If only I had the money to fly on a plane -_-

Where are you going? I'll be at Prime on Monday, but I'm flying from Virginia. No way I was going to get stuck on Greyhound for 38 hours.

Aw. I was going to watch for you. I'll be gone Monday or Tuesday if I trifecta Saturday, which of course, I would be a fool if I didn't Plan to succeed in doing. (Just letting you in on a little of my positive self-talk this afternoon)

Joe L, I'll be wishing you luck come Monday morning! If I may suggest: try to do as much as you can, as soon as you can if you know that there's no reason not to. And do it with a great attitude, distancing yourself from pointless complaining! This is how my partner & I went about things, and it's been opening doors & making us friends since Feb 1st. I'm excited for you!

Thanks for the support!

-also, I'm attending Prime PSD for anyone who was curious. I'm slightly nervous but I assume that's natural.. just going to take it day by day and absorb as much information as possible.

PSD:

Prime Student Driver

Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.

The following is from Prime's website:

Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.

Obtain CDL Permit / 4 Days

  • Enter program, study and test for Missouri CDL permit.
  • Start driving/training at Prime Training Center in Springfield, Missouri.
  • Work toward 40,000 training dispatched miles (minimum) with food allowance while without CDL (Food allowance is paid back with future earnings).

On-the-Road Instruction / 10,000 Miles

  • Train with experienced certified CDL instructor for 3-4 weeks in a real world environment.
  • Get 75 hours of behind-the-wheel time with one-on-one student/instructor ratio.
  • Earn 10,000 miles toward total 40,000 miles needed.

How much did you have to pay for the plane ticket? I'm glad to hear someone was able to use this mode of transportation instead of the bus.
