Depends on the charge, and how long since you got off parole/probation/etc.

Michael, I can't help you specifically, but get out the specifics and you should get a realistic answer. Search here for "felony", you might see something that matches up.

Many trucking companies will hire ex-felons depending on the nature of the felony and the length of time that has passed since your felony conviction. What trucking companies are more concerned about are dui/ dwi and driving record

DUI:

Driving Under the Influence

DWI:

Driving While Intoxicated

Michael, I don't know if a certain felony is going to "ban" you from trucking. There are some that really make it tougher though. Drug trafficking makes it really hard, and violent crimes bring a set of difficulties with them. The societal taboo nature of a sexual crime can also be close to impossible to get past.

The main thing a recruiter will need to know first is how long ago was the final disposition of the crime, that is when was your sentence in prison, or your probation/parole over with. Most want that to be ten years ago, some will accept five. If it is more recent than that you may just have to put it off for a while. Trucking is not going anywhere, it will still be around when you get that ball and chain a little further behind you. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there, you can make this happen, it just might not be in the time frame you had in mind.

I wish you the best!
