Persion I would like it if you would quit watching me while I am naked sitting in the front of my truck at the fuel pump eating my burger and taking my 30 min brake. Its kinda of creepy. That's a funny sorry though man.

If it's dark outside and you're naked in your cab with the light on, close the curtain.

1. Nose in parking. Never put yourself in a position where you have to back out of a tight spot. This is just flat out being lazy.

2. Don't make me have to bang on your door to get out of my legal parking space. Be considerate of others.

3. Pick up your dog ****. I've stepped on a few of those landmines.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Turn down the volume on those high end stereo speakers!

No sense in me spending 15 minutes peeking thru my curtains, trying to get a glimpse of the hottie in the truck next to mine at 3am, only to find out you are watching a $3 porn.

Do not give money to any panhandlers at the truckstops. Doing that just encourages them to harass even more truckers.

They make far more money than any of us do and they do not even have to bother following dot rules.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Don't assume any female at a truck stop must be a lot lizard. I can't tell you the number of times I would be asked if I was "working."

Answering "No, it's my husband's shift right now, I'm on a 34" (even if you're solo) shuts those guys up in a real hurry.

In a similar vein, don't tell me the counter is for drivers only. I can read, I know the counter is for drivers only...that's why I'm sitting at it.
