You're gonna get there Britton, just keep at it and realize that everyday is a learning experience. I realize that at the beginning it's just total overload on how much you're having to process, but trust me it will get better. That first month is a real killer, and can be very overwhelmingly stressful and exhausting. I remember team driving right from the very beginning with my crazy trainer, and I was so mentally drained after my driving shift that I would just fall into the bed and be asleep within about a minute or two of hitting the mattress. I would sleep so hard from the mental exhaustion that I never hardly realized that I was rolling down the road while sleeping.

You're gonna do just fine - Hang in there - One of the favorite things my grandmother used to quote from the Bible was "this too shall pass". There is something liberating in the knowledge that something will soon come to an end, and this time period will come to an end and start up another chapter in this grand adventure of your life.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Britton, trust me. When they hands you your keys to your truck you'll feel the same way. You'll feel like you're not prepared or not ready. You'll feel excited and scared all at once. I know that mountain driving might have frustrated you but this what we mean when we say "you'll have a lot of times when you'll feel like giving up". That mountain kicked your butt, but it was also a great learning experience. You want this to happen, you want to learn when you're with a trainer because when you're by yourself there's not going to be anyone around you to explain it or do it for you. Take this time to learn it, it's tough we all been through it but trust me, there's no better training you can get.

Not every road is flat, learning how to handle mountains is critical is surviving. This was a good thing for you.
