Hey guys. A/c is blowing hot hair in the sleeper and cold hair in the cabin. It wont change to cold air in the sleeper. Alreaddy checked coolant. Read about the clutch switch or something but I dont know where it is or how it looks like. Any thoughts!? Maybe post a pic of the switch? I have a volvo vnl780 with cummins isx engine.

Check the filter. Common issue. Should be under the bunk

You didn't mention this, so I'm just asking: did you check the sleeper A/C controls? They work separate from the front/dash controls. Also, in front there should be a switch to turn on-off the sleeper A/C-heater.

Yeah, I agree with what Errol said. I drive a Volvo also, and I had the same experience once. All it took to fix the problem was to turn the dial on the rear controls to cold, (the blue indicators around the dial) mine was pointing to the red area for heat. That control panel is located directly behind the drivers seat just above the lower bunk. It doesn't matter how you have the front A/C controls set, that rear controller is the thermostat for the air that comes out of those rear vents.

Hey Alex...

Trucking Truth is dedicated to helping people who are looking to enter the industry, get a feel for how to do it.

As such - we don't have owner/operators on the board - and really aren't in a position to give advice on equipment purchases.

There are plenty of other boards that could probably help you out though.

Best of luck to you.

Rick
