That truck looks great!!! If you're gonna decorate, don't go half way - just go for it!

I HAVE ABSOLUTLY NO SENSE OF DIRECTION!!!

That is actually something you can develop over time. My ma had major problems getting around a new town she moved to years ago and I told her, "Always try to keep track of where North is. Try to keep in touch with which compass direction you're heading. Then start remembering where certain places are in relation to each other like the grocery store is South of the bank, etc."

They make those cheap compasses you can put on your dash and most GPS systems will show you on the screen which way is North. Make a game out of it - practice keeping track of which way is North and which way you're facing all the time. And when you're heading to a customer or truck stop, be aware of the location relative to other known things. For example, when you're heading East on the Interstate and you're pulling off to go into a truck stop that's off to your right (South), put that in your mind. "The truck stop is South of the Interstate." Then as you're pulling in you might notice "The fuel pumps are East of the main building and the shop is to the South of the main building." Keep that picture in your head. And of course use the sun when you can to help keep track of direction.

It's not easy and you'll lose track plenty of times - especially on winding roads that keep heading in different directions. But you'll get better and better at it.

Having a decent sense of direction isn't something you're born with. It's a learned skill and anyone can develop that skill. So don't think you're doomed to be one of those people with a bad sense of direction. It just takes time to develop it. Keep practicing - you'll get better and better at it.

That first month is always crazy. I'm just glad you're still alive through it haha. What area or states are they mostly keeping you? And what kind of truck do you have again? I'm always on the lookout for fellow TT drivers haha

I spend a lot of time in The mid west I am driving out if the Rochelle terminal. Today I am in Atlanta for a delivery pick up here tomorrow and back to Chicago. I have a white 2013 Freight Liner, and you can't miss it because I have it decorated with Hello Kitty on the doors! Ill see if Road Kill will post a pic for me!

Haha! There's a guy at Central with a Giant Buzz-light-year on the side of his truck. I guess that makes two decorated trucks here at Central :)

Yeah I'm mostly in the Denver area. Just spent a week in the East though right by Washington DC but apart from that I'm usually driving on 80 or 70.

Daniel B. If your ever in Charleston SC let me know. We'll go grab a beer sometime.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Wet and rainy? You lucky! It's 105 degrees where I'm at. And my idle % is at the maximum before they start charging me and I really don't want to pay. So I sit at the truck stop until evening! I would do anything for rain.
